Alex makes a peculiar observation about his drive-thru experiences. Brandon prepares for the East Coast Snowpocalypse 2016.

The guys breakdown this week’s notable news.

Xbox One Backwards Compatibility titles will now roll out as they become available, rather than waiting to release them on a specific date. Joining the backwards compatibility ranks, The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings is free for Xbox Live Gold Members through February 5th. Visit Xbox.com to redeem your copy of the game.

Overwatch’s Closed Beta is coming to us sometime in mid-February. Here’s to hoping console users can participate. Also, friendly-reminder that The Division’s Closed Beta will be releasing January 28th and will be running through January 31st.

Someone has leaked a plethora of potential Nintendo NX details. The info comes from David Gibson, the Head of Research at a Japanese capital securities company. While these are only rumors, the leak includes details regarding the NX’s video streaming and gameplay capabilities, an achievement system, as well as the ability to connect to smartphones, PC’s, and other consoles. Other details include backwards compatibility and a digital games library, similar to PlayStation’s PS Now subscription service. Again, we stress that these are rumors, and therefore should be taken with a grain of salt. However, it is quite fun to speculate.

New Year, New Me, right? In January we celebrate the beginning of a new year; so we thought it was appropriate to discuss our favorite video game beginnings. Whether its an opening cinematic or a really neat opening sequence, the beginning of a game really sets the tone for what our experience with it will be. Well, most of the time. We’re looking at you Wolfenstein: The New Order. Games we discuss: Skyrim, BioShock, God of War, Portal 2, Half-life 2, World of Warcraft, and of course Mario 64.
